Crash management systems

Our customers looking for so called “crash management solutions (CMS)” know Sapa as a provider of special high strength 6082 extrusions with excellent formability in T4 condition and as an excellent and productive alternative of the 7xxx alloy programs supplied in the past.

Therefore we provide extrusion solutions for Bumper Beams in primarily 6082 and other alloys on request. We have also sucessfully supplied several projects for Crash Boxes / Crash Cans based on alloy 6063 or other alloys on request.

During the development of our Sapa 6082 high strength extrusion we have put maximum focus onetrusion  efficiency, but also for best formability and ductility to achieve the shapes our customers need – i.e. in the field of roll-over protection systems as part of CMS.
