Cylindrical stepped post-top columns

Post-top lighting columns can also be used to support one or more floodlights by means of a bracket arm. The lighting columns are supplied as standard in satin brushed finish, ready for installation.

Because these lighting columns often are placed alongside provincial and national roads at some distance from the roadway, it is necessary to place the luminaire at a distance from the column, i.e. over the roadway. For this, Sapa Pole Products supplies columns with a single bracket. The dimensions of these brackets are matched to the luminaire to be used and the desired column height.

These cylindrical columns are manufactured from a seamless aluminium tube and can be supplied in all kinds of variants and steps. The columns are made up of a cylindrical part with a door section. The first step is above the door section, thus reducing the diameter. It is important to judge whether the column and luminaire have been matched to each other in order to produce a construction that is sound from a norm-technical (BS/EN40-3-3) point of view. Important factors in this are the windage area and the weight of the luminaire.
 
All columns are supplied as standard in satin brushed finish, ready for installation. If desired, columns can be supplied in anodized or electrostatically powder-coated versions (in an optional RAL colour). The bracket is then supplied as a detachable version.
