Environmental policy

There is a strong environmental commitment at Sapa Profiler. This is maybe not so strange for a company having its roots in the middle the forest landscape of the Smaland region. Our environmental policy is one of the company’s most important steering instruments. This is how we have expressed our objectives and ambitions.

Through active environmental efforts, Sapa Profiler AB shall in its activities contribute to the development of a long-term sustainable society. Our goal is to achieve the minimum possible environmental impact. The current legislation and licence conditions are only to be treated as minimum requirements.  

Environmental protection is a precondition of good quality of life of the individual and the society. Care for the environment must be present in all our activities and characterise our daily work.

The resources of the Earth are limited. Therefore, it is necessary to work towards an ecological society. Aluminium is easy to recycle and we can contribute to this process.

Good profitability creates an opportunity to make rational environmentally oriented investments in the production process and the products. Effective environmental work lays in turn foundations for a long-term profitability.

We shall:

• Constantly improve our manufacturing methods and products from an environmental perspective. When investing, we will consider what is environmentally motivated, technically possible and economically reasonable. 
• Organise our use of energy, chemical products, and raw materials and work towards reducing waste.
• Train our staff to take an active part in our environmental effort.
• Recycle profile waste from our own plants and even take care of our customers profile waste through re-smelting.
• Promote the re-cycling of profile waste at the end of customer product’s life span.
• Demand effective and dedicated environmental efforts from our suppliers. 
• Inform about the environmental effects of our operation factually and openly.
