Brilliant innovative steam shower
The sauna manufacturer Tylö has launched another hot product. The Felicity steam shower combines modern design and innovative functions. The development of this exclusive multishower is a result of a close co-operation between Tylö and Sapa.
It is said that IKEA furnished the Swedish homes. If that is the case, Tylö has made the sauna culture into pure enjoyment. The new innovative steam shower is a small source of experience which functions equally well at home as at spa centres and hotels.
The new Felicity model has the same footprint as a normal shower. It is a well and austerely designed shower and steam cabin made of top quality materials. It is packed with exciting bathing functions, such as “tropical rain”, steam bath, massage nozzles and waterfall.
Aluminium profiles the design
Most of the bearing structure is made of anodised aluminium. The profiles do not only conceal the pipes and electronic circuits, but also carry the entire shower place. Together with the thick tempered safety glass they form a tight, stable and easily placed “glazed enclosure” which creates an exclusive impression.
All models of the new multishower are equipped with steam generator, thermostat, shower, control panel, seat and shower base with drain trap. A number of patent-protected solutions and registered designs are included.

Co-operation at an early stage is a clear advantage
Tylö has a strong brand. The company exports 75% of its production to more that 80 countries on all continents.
Tylö realised from the very beginning that the development of Felicity was a strategically important project suitable for Sapa, who had been the company’s partner before.
– Therefore we made sure to have Sapa on board during the entire project, says Jan Bjärnhag, the product manager at Tylö. Our co-operation has been good for the economy and the speed of the project, and the possibility to exchange ideas has also been beneficial.
External partner improves the competence
Sapa has been an important development partner. This is what Jim Udén and Jesper Olsson, two design engineers working on the project, think.
– The fact that Sapa joined the project at an early stage was decisive. The co-operation has been important, because we do not have all the required competence in aluminium profiles, say Jim Udén and Jesper Olsson.
Like Jan Bjärnhag, the product manager, the two engineers emphasise the importance of having an external partner for a creative exchange of ideas. Jan Bjärnhag mentions another advantage:
– Even our other future products are going to benefit from this effort. It has been a profitable development project.
