LIGHTER

Aluminium is three times lighter than steel. And this is a heavy argument for many engineers.

Not only in the automotive industry, where each gram of reduced weight results in energy savings in the form of lower fuel and electricity consumption, etc.
Only by replacing 182 kg of steel elements in a car with similar parts made of aluminium, the weight of the vehicle can be reduced by 100 kg. This makes it possible to save 640 litres of fuel during the car’s life cycle.

The light metal is also praised by ergonomics specialists. It has saved many people from heavy lifts and backache. As an example of a lightweight product we can tell how we helped Anza – a manufacturer of painting tools – to develop a painting roller handle of aluminium instead of steel. The painting handle became noticeably lighter resulting in a reduced strain of the painter’s arm and shoulder during a working day.
