REACH

REACH is a chemicals legislation that replaces large parts of the regulations for chemicals that were in force prior to 1 June 2007 in the EU and in Sweden.

REACH stands for:
Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals.

REACH applies mainly to chemical substances and combinations of chemical substances, but certain rules also apply to goods for sale.

 
The candidate list is a list of chemicals that are particularly harmful to people and the environment, and which require a special permit before they can be used. This list is updated continually. Any supplier of goods that contain substances included on the candidate list in a concentration exceeding 0.1 percent by weight must inform the recipient of the goods about this content.

Extruded aluminium profiles made from alloys supplied by Sapa Profiler AB, parts that are finished in plants owned by Sapa Profiler AB and profiles that are machined comply with REACH requirements and do not contain any substances in concentrations greater than the levels specified in the candidate list.

Individual examination is required concerning products that have custom finishes, or products supplied with fitted accessories specified by the customer, .
