Fire at Sapa Profilers plant in Finspång

Yesterday, Wednesday 29 June, a fire broke out in Sapa Profiler´s extrusion plant in Finspång, Sweden. The rescue services and fire brigade were able to limit the fire to the anodising department, where all the production equipment was destroyed. The presses were not affected.

 The plant was evacuated and no one was injured. Production throughout the plant is stopped until further notice. Clean-up work and the fire investigation has started.

- Fortunately no one was injured in the fire, says production director Ulrika Molander. We will do our utmost to ensure that our customers will not be adversely affected by the fire and we hope that the production interruption will be as short as possible.
