Sapa's profile operations in Sweden gives notice to 39 employees at its factories in Vetlanda (24) and Finspång (15). The reason for the layoffs is a reduced demand in the market.
Negotiations will begin with the local union representatives as soon as possible.

- The market development during the autumn and the beginning of 2012 was weak, says MD Tony Elfström. We have now reached the point where we have to adapt our organization to the market needs and that means, unfortunately, we have to give notice to employees.
