Ideas are there to be tested. And good ideas are worth some more testing – sometimes as deep as to the atom level. Therefore, we have concentrated all research and development activities under the same roof – at Sapa Technology.

Here we employ specialists in metallurgy, chemistry, metallography, physics, design, mechanics and engineering mechanics – all of them have an extensive knowledge of the properties of aluminium and the possibilities of the extrusion technology. They have at their disposal all kinds of testing equipment that is necessary to analyse alloys and surface structures as well as to evaluate different constructions with regard to their strength, production conditions, etc.

Sapa has also a close co-operation with a great number of universities, colleges and independent research institutes.
