Sapa HM-white

Sapa HM-white

Sapa HM-white is an electrophoretic pigmentation process that complements anodising and powder coating perfectly. An anodised but not sealed profile is immersed in a bath; a direct current then causes the paint to deposit in the pores. The paint is then cured at about 180 °C.

The benefits

  • white, UV-resistant colour

  • very good gloss retention and resistance to chemicals
  • good corrosion resistance
  • excellent adhesion in the pores of the anodised surface
  • impermeable and dirt-repellent
  • the values for hardness, compressive strength and wear are almost identical to those of the coating powder
  • the layer thickness is uniform over the whole surface
  • the coating is not thicker at the edges, which is extremely important for profiles that have to fit into each other.
