As we all know, cooling is very important in power electronics (eg, IGBT) applications. The unique properties (light weight, high strength, good conductivity, easy for recycle) of aluminium profiles made it a perfect choice of material in cooler solution provision. Friction Stir Welding (FSW) was developed in 1990, based on the principle that two seperate metals can be stirred/welded together in plastic form with frictional heat, without a need for added heat or added filler material, this technique is licensed in the UK. SAPA group, the world's largest company for aluminium profiles, has a big bank of expertise and application experience of liquid cooler, and developed different liquid cooling solutions based on aluminium profiles in combination of FSW, the technique co-developed by SAPA. Our experience shows that liquid cooler can provide solutions for those problems left by traditional air-cooling solutions. FSW strengthened customer's confidence that no leakage will take place when water flows inside the cooler.
To introduce and promote our developments made in our recent research and application of liquid cooler, and to give a better picture for the application of FSW, a technical seminar regarding liquid cooling solutions will be held in Shanghai New International Expo Centre on the 7th of November, 2007. We will invite experienced colleagues from SAPA Sweden to address this seminar.
We look forward to your presence.
