Anodizing
Aluminium is naturally resistant to corrosion, but for various reasons it may be necessary to increase its inherent corrosion resistance.

ADVANTAGES
- The anodization layer is part of the aluminium, in contrast to a separate coating applied on top of the aluminium.
- The surface of the aluminium becomes harder, with improved durability and corrosion resistance.
- Anodizing produces an attractive metallized effect. Easy to clean, which makes maintenance practically unnecessary.
- All anodization complies with QUALANOD product standard and/or BS (British Standard).
OPTIONS
It is important to be aware that some aluminium alloys cannot be anodized. We thus recommend that you discuss your project with us first so we can suggest suitable alloys.
Various colours are possible:

Natural aluminium
Light or dark gold
Light, medium or dark bronze
Black
Profiles with dimensions of up to 16.4 m.
We can also supply hard anodized profiles: hard anodizing creates a hard, wear-resistant layer.
Anodizing combined with gloss pre-treatment: this makes the profile extremely resistant to corrosion and gives it a high gloss.
PRE-TREATMENT
The profile can be pre-treated according to the customer’s wishes
- etching
- grinding
- brushing
- polishing
A combination of these options is possible.
The following anodization thicknesses can be achieved: 5,10, 15, and 20 to 25 microns.
