Extrusion process

Sapa RC Profiles has access to modern equipment and a team of highly qualified engineers.

Based on the customer's specification, the functional of the profile is to fulfil and the end product, the Sapa RC Profiles technical team calculates and designs a die. The die is generally manufactured in the Sapa group in order to reduce the lead time.

A log in the optimum alloy is cast in the foundry in Ghlin. See Alloys

After the die tests, the die and the metal go to the presses for extrusion. This can be followed by a variety of further processes: such as thermal break, powder coating, anodizing, bending, clipping, etc. The product is then packed individually or in a kit.
