Milestones
Sapa's building system business started with some complementary aluminium profiles for windows and steel doors in 1970. The first thermally insulated system, SapaFront+, was introduced in 1974. In 1978, its name was changed to SapaFront. In 1981, we took over the Thornville Group (UK) and thus became owner of Monarch, a reputable building system company. Expansion really started in the middle of the 90s and was mainly based on acquisitions. The most significant milestones for both Sapa and RC System are:
