Aluminum Profiles
There is a simple solution to almost all design problems: aluminium profiles. Aluminium instead of steel, copper, plastic, wood, etc. Profiles instead of casting, injection moulding, etc.
Sapa is the world’s leading producer of extruded aluminum profiles and maintains extensive operations in the valueadded fabrication of profiles. Cutting, bending, CNC processing, hydroforming, melt welding, friction-stir welding, anodising and powder coating are examples of such processes.
Production, extrusion and/or fabrication take place in Belgium, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, the UK and the US.
Design solutions employing aluminum profiles are used in a number of industries. To support the development of important customer segments, the strategic business segments Sapa Automotive, Sapa Mass Transportation and Sapa Thermal Management have been established.
Aluminum: The final product has properties such as low weight combined with high tensile strength, corrosion resistance and high-quality surface finish. Aluminum is highly recyclable.
Profiles: The die cost is very reasonable. Technical limitations are few. The possibilities are nearly endless. Several functions can be integrated in the profile, making it easier to process and simpler to assemble.
We consider it our job to find new areas of application for aluminum profiles and to develop and refine current solutions. It is a mission we want to carry out in close cooperation with businesses and people who want to see their ideas bear fruit and their market shares grow.
Our assets are our unique stores of knowledge and experience, our technical resources and our knowledgeable, highly motivated employees. We endeavour to create long-term business relationships in which mutual profitability is the overriding aim.

Numerous functions can be integrated in extruded aluminum profiles. Sapa’s “Ideas Profile” provides examples: Screw port, heels, channels, reduced material thickness for spring, drill grooves, snap-fit lock, seamless tubing, expanded-surface cooling flange, decorative trim, joint function, friction patterns, anti-slip surfaces, screw port on support, anchors for sheet material, channels for screws or rivets, channels for rubber moulding, “Christmas tree” for fastening to wood or plastic and bolt channels. |
