New Managing Director at Sapa Aluminium Profile GmbH

Bruno Fijten will be the new Managing Director of Sapa Aluminium Profile in Offenburg. Bruno Fijten will start his new position October 1st.

Bruno Fijten has a deep knowledge in extrusion and the whole extrusion industry. He started his career at Deloitte Audit in 1985. In 1991 he took the position of an Assistant Controller at Alumax Extrusions in Roermond, Netherlands and soon went on as a Controller. Later his position was a combination between Controlling and Sales & Marketing. Bruno Fijten was further more responsible for the implementation of Movex in 1997 and he was involved by the rebuilding of the casthouse.

In July 1998 Alumax merged with Alcoa. From 2001 he was the Managing Director of Roermond and a member of the European Restructuring Team where his duty was to lead the closing of the former Reynolds plant Iserlohn in Germany.

Since 2003 he is working as a Finance Director at an institution for disabled people in the Netherlands.

Bruno is holding a master degree in Finance and a post-master degree in Controlling of the Maastricht University. He is married and in his free time he likes hiking in the mountains, skiing and cycling.
