The Profile Academy has had its thousandth participant

Sapa Profiles in Vetlanda has operated its own Profile Academy since 1994.  Customers are invited to spend four days learning more about aluminium and how to design with aluminium profiles, and to facilitate sales representatives and others engaging in improved dialogue with them.
“The seminars provide a sense of what can be done with aluminium,” says Tor Zetterström, head of the program.
The first two days of this year’s Profile Academy are finished. The autumn session involved 40 participants from companies throughout Sweden, including the thousandth person to participate through the years, who was Mattias Östklint, a materials expert at Husqvarna AB.

“I have noticed in the course of my job that I don’t know enough about aluminium,” he says. “The Profile Academy ensures that I will not have to begin each future contact with a learning exercise.”
As the thousandth participant, Mattias was recognised in a special way. He received an IKEA chair built with Sapa profiles.
“The Profile Academy in Vetlanda has led to many products, for Scania and IKEA, among others,” Zetterström explains.  “The program provides inspiration and ideas that one can take home and work on further,” he says.
