Did you know?
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is located in the southeast end of the Arabian Peninsula on the Arabian Gulf. The country has borders with Oman and Saudi Arabia, and shares sea borders with Iran and Qatar. It has warm winters and hot summers, with maximum temperatures averaging 45 °C (113 °F) in July and August.
The United Arab Emirates comprises seven emirates. Dubai is its largest city. While its economy is considered to be the most diversified in the Gulf Cooperation Council, the UAE relies on exports of oil and natural gas.
Dubai International Airport was the busiest airport in the world by international passenger traffic in 2014, overtaking London Heathrow.
Sapa Buildings Systems FZE in Dubai is the head office for the Middle East region, which mainly operates for Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The office employs 12 persons and distributes aluminium systems from the Sapa Building System and Wicona brands.
Meet one of our managers:
Jean Marc Luvisutto (pictured) manages Sapa Building Systems FZE. He also manages Sapa’s third global building systems brand, Technal, through Technal Middle East, which is a joint venture with our Bahraini partner Balexco.
We believe our strengths in the Middle East are:
Delivering high-quality service with high-quality products will always create a high-quality partnership with loyal customers. Many of our projects involve customized solutions, which link to strong support and reactivity. Customer satisfaction is always our priority and focus.
A project we are proud of:
Technal, Sapa Building System and Wicona have executed numerous impressive projects in the Middle East. These include the Dubai Design District, where the company delivered more than 65,000 square meters of façade systems. Aluminium systems from Sapa also were used in Barwa City in Qatar (50,000 doors and windows) and Qatar’s landmark 220-meter high Tornado Tower (pictured).
Our safety advice:
Switch off the telephone while driving. And always keep personal protective equipment in cars – shoes, helmet, gloves, glasses – for site visits, because many sites offer visitors only low-quality gear.
