Colleagues at the St. Augustine plant in Florida - one of Sapa's two plants in the state.
Did you know?
The Southeast has a warm climate for much of the year because it is closer to the equator than most other parts of the United States. The most populated state is Florida.
Sapa has six plants in the Southeast. One is the aluminium tubing plant in Rockledge, Florida. The other five are extrusion plants, located in:
- Belton, South Carolina
- Burlington, North Carolina
- Delhi, Louisiana
- Gainesville, Georgia
- St. Augustine, Florida
Meet one of our plant managers:
Sergio Luiz Vendrasco (pictured right) is responsible for the Precision Tubing business area’s North America unit. He works from the plant in Rockledge, Florida.
Our safety advice:
“Tomorrow's best investment … is being safe today,” says the Belton plant’s Phil Call, a health and safety day theme winner.
Ron Ballman, who is plant manager at the Delhi site, adds that “the continuous evolution of our safety culture requires a day-to-day, behavior-based focus. It is the decisions we make and the way we care for one another that sustain changes.”
We believe our strengths in the Southeast are:
The Rockledge plant delivers aluminium tubing for heat transfer applications in the automotive and HVAC&R industries. Its customers include industry leaders like MahleBehr and Denso.
On the extrusion side, Sapa’s St. Augustine plant is unique in that it has the resources needed to take scrap, remelt and cast it, then extrude, cut, draw, drill, punch, form, bend, machine, paint, and assemble it without the product leaving the facility.
The Delhi plant’s REDD Team manufactures aluminium access products such as wheelchair ramps, pedestrian bridges, walkways, gangways, stairs and stair towers.
American Conduit by Sapa is based at Sapa’s Burlington facility and produces a comprehensive line of aluminium conduit suitable for a wide range of applications.
