Around 8% of the Earth’s crust consists of aluminium in the form of different minerals. So aluminium is one of the few metals for which the availability of raw materials is literally unlimited.

Research & Development

Sapa has intensified its focus on R&D over the past few years. Sapa group’s R&D function in Sweden, Sapa Technology, obtained a sister function in China during 2011, enabling better use of competence and resources for Sapa’s customers globally. Most of the focus for Sapa Technology is on long-term development of the enabling technologies for value creation, as well as shorter-term and more practical aspects such as productivity and cost.
