Why aluminium?

Aluminium is the third most common element, about 8% of the lithosphere consists of aluminium. In order to reduce the influence on the environment mining takes place in open mines where untouched areas are left between the pits.

Aluminium profiles can be recycled to almost 100%, the
recycling process only requires about 5% of the energy that is consumed in the production of primary aluminium..
