Sapa - World leader in Aluminium Solutions
Sapa is the world leader in aluminium solutions - a new company that has joined the aluminium extrusion businesses of Sapa and Hydro. We have 23,000 employees in more than 40 countries, and our headquarters are located in Oslo.
In the UK, we manufacture extrusions from three locations: Birtley in Co. Durham, Tibshelf in Derbyshire, and Cheltenham in Gloucestershire. We fabricate and assemble profiles at our plants in Redditch and Worcestershire. We have die-making facilities at our plant in Tibshelf coupled with state-of-the-art processes at our die-making plant in Gloucester.
We employ around 650 people in the UK. Our offer to the market includes a large range of extruded aluminium profiles and components.
While we have an extensive range of standard extrusions, our main business is the development of bespoke extruded solutions for our diverse range of customers working in many different market sectors.
Sapa's strategy is clearly dedicated to providing local market manufacturing facilities while offering the full resources of a global producer. This offers our customers the reliability and flexibility of local supply routes while providing world class technical back up. We have continued to invest in the modernisation improving our UK extrusion facilities which re-enforces our commitment to UK manufacturing.
Our commitment to the environment is also well established. Our in-house remelt facilities at the Tibshelf plant ensure we are able to recycle scrap using only 5% of the energy used to produce the raw material.
Add to this our in-house anodising and die-making facilities along with an extensive array of painting and mechanical fabrication and we are able to offer our customers a complete solution for their aluminium extrusion needs. All supplied to meet exacting and approved quality standards.
Our technical expertise is always available and we invite you to involve us early in any product development so that we can help provide a cost effective solution to your requirements.
Sapa Profiles UK fully adheres to the ETI (Ethical Trading Initiative) Base Code on Labour Practice.
