Redditch NEW Investment – 5 axis profile machining centre SBZ 151 from Elumatec
This recent investment at our Redditch plant offers a maximum of efficiency and flexibility for industrial processing of aluminium.
All working operations such as milling, drilling, thread milling and tapping as well as cutting and notching are carried out with the profile bar resting. Thus sensitive profile surfaces are protected against scratches and other damage.
CNC controlled clamp adjustment. The clamps can be pre-positioned simultaneously – independent from the current operations. This creates utmost flexibility and enables high material flow with change over during non-productive times.
Speed – 2 tool magazines which are installed directly on the movable processing unit provide a fast tool change, thus resulting in short processing times.
The compact 2 axis head reaches remarkable torque, even at a low spindle speed. The special construction enable a high saw blade cutting capacity with the ability to process close the clamps, resulting in reduced vibration at high feed speeds to preserve the quality of the profile surface.
This product is for our customer James & Taylor and will be installed at a new car park called ITCC in Saudi Arabia.
There are 650 units all gold anodised by United Anodisers.
This extrusion is produced in Cheltenham, machined on our new SBZ 151 and welded all at our Redditch plant.
