Why choose aluminium?
Aluminium has a unique combination of attractive properties. It is light, strong, durable, requiring minimal maintenance, flexible and easy to handle. It is also resistant to corrosion, with the earliest installations of aluminium in construction still withstanding the test of time after well over 100 years. And it can be reused for the same purposes over and over again with very limited impact on the environment.
Recycled aluminium - the ultimate sustainable material
Recycled aluminium leads the path to sustainable development in a way that few other materials can compete with. Recycling is easy, energy efficient and total. Unlike many other materials, the unique properties of aluminium do not change after recycling. Furthermore, recycling requires only 5% of the original energy input.
Recycled aluminium enables Sapa customers to benefit from using a material which has been produced using greatly reduced energy resources without compromising its physical characteristics or the fenestration design.
