Crash test movies

On the 11th and 12th of September a crash test of our new "NE3" certified column was performed by Mira in Leicestershire. A Peugeot 306 was crashed at 35kph into our 15m Passively Safe lighting column (100NE3) complete with post-top lantern provided by Marwood Electrical Limited. The column was fitted with an energized circuit (armoured cabling in and out) and a SIS Solo (pillar) system provided by N.A.L.Ltd, to demonstrate a successful disconnection/interruption of the supply and "non-snagging" of the cabling. This successful demonstration was an example of how well our NE products perform, even in low-speed impact conditions.
