Great attention to Sapa booth at the Intersolar trade fair in Munich (9-11 June)
"Although we are very familiar with the market, dialogue with existing and potential customers is very important for us. And what better platform is there for this than a trade fair?” says Marketing Manager Tania Voigt
“It is also a good opportunity to explain the manifold possible uses of extruded aluminum profiles in solar applications and the opportunities they offer for integrating functions. What is made from steel today and can rust away tomorrow can now be replaced by functional, durable and, what is more, even decorative aluminum extrusions.”

Sapa was exhibiting at Intersolar for the first time and greeted visitors to its 110 m² booth with the motto ‘Framed Sunshine’.
Sapa was also the only aluminum extrusion company to be invited by the Canadian Government to have a stand in the Canadian Pavilion at the fair. Sapa representatives from Canada and North America were on hand to inform the visitors about the rapidly developing market in the US and Canada.

“Despite the cuts in solar electricity subsidies, there has been no fall in demand, and renewable energies are the way forward. We are glad that Sapa and aluminum, the green metal, are involved in this to such a large extent,” says Thomas Peukert, Sales Manager Solar/PV Deutschland. “As an industrial location, Germany is proving to be extremely competitive in this area and Sapa is supporting its customers with profile solutions – whether they are for the module frame or the mounting systems and supporting structures – in order to continue providing ‘Development made in Germany - Quality produced globally’,” adds Thomas Peukert.
Sapa’s module-frame concept is one such development. Cost savings of up to 15% coupled with the elimination of various machining steps give Sapa’s customers a clear competitive advantage in the highly competitive module market.
Sapa summed up Intersolar very positively: “Participating at Intersolar in 2010 was the right decision. We are there where our customers are – regardless of it is with production plants or offering a platform for communication. This is certainly not our last visit to Intersolar,” says Tania Voigt.
